What is support coordination?
Support coordination helps you to make the best use of your supports in your NDIS plan. Support coordination is a capacity building support which helps you to:
Who can deliver support coordination services:
Support Coordinator or Specialist Support Coordinator
There are three levels of support coordination that can be included in your plan:
How support coordination gets included in a plan:
Your funding is based on what is ‘reasonable and necessary’ to pursue your goals, in addition to the support provided by family, friends, and other community and government services.
Where reasonable and necessary, support coordination will be included in the Capacity Building budget. This is a fixed amount for a support coordinator to help you use your plan.
If your plan describes (or ‘states’) the level of support coordination funded, you can only purchase this level of support coordination.
If your plan does not describe the level of support coordination funded, you can choose the level of support coordination that suits your needs.
